Memorial Day Weekend

What a fun weekend!

My sister Leanne, Keith, Lauren and Travis were here for the long weekend. Melissa was here a few weeks ago so she wasn't able to come up this time.

It was so great to be together!!!

We set up a little pool in our backyard for the boys to swim in. They had a blast!















On Monday we met Paul, Kristin, Cameron and "Grandma Kathy" at the parade in South Holland.

The good we got out of that day to Sears

A few weeks ago my sister and I took our 6 kids to Sears to have their pictures taken. We had to drag Grandma Betty along for help. :)

They are mostly of Simon and Talon because it was Simon's 4th birthday and Talon was 1 month old. Lucky for Ben! He wants no part of it. The only reason I got the good close up one it because Simon was sitting on a stool to get his done. Of course Ben wanted to be up there too - for a second - hence the picture!

It started pouring on our way there. You can only imagine us getting 6 kids into the mall trying not to get them wet because they were all ready for the pictures! After the pictures - which ended up being not so bad for me (my sister's story isn't so nice) - we had dinner at the Food Court (complete with having to nurse Owen and Talon), a ride on the carousel and a few trips up and down the escalator with Simon and Chloe. What a day! Who made up the phrase "Stay-At-Home Mom" anyway?

Okay, I am so excited that I have finally figured out how to get my profile picture up! :) I know it's ridiculous but I was having major troubles with it. It wasn't all my problem though. Blogger fixed some problem with posting profile photos.

Anyway, I also have to say that my budding photographer, Simon, took the picture. He loves to take pictures and he actually gets them centered and looking pretty good. I found pictures on my digital camera of his cars all lined up one day. It was really cute.

Simon's 4th Birthday

I can't believe my baby is 4 years old already! Wasn't I just at the hospital having him?

On his actual birthday, May 17, we went to Toys "R" Us with Grandma Penny. Grandpa Len sent him some money and he got to choose what he wanted. A race track and walkie-talkies! He also got a balloon and a crown since he was the birthday boy. He wore it pretty much the whole day.

After that we met Auntie Aimee, Chloe, Brett and Owen at Chuck E. Cheese. What a fun time they all had!

Then last Saturday we had a firefighter party for him with both of our families. 30 people - including kids. That's insane!

The pinata kept falling off the rope when the kids hit it so Auntie Aimee stepped in to help Simon get it open. Auntie Nicole's in the background with Talon. It was great to not have to worry about him during all this commotion! Thanks Nicole!





Ben was not interested in having a picture taken. He usually isn't. :) Simon on the other hand...

Well, I've actually decided to start blogging! As if I have nothing else to do, right?! But our boys are growing up so fast. Grandma & Grandpa Stevens are all over the world. Grandma Lagestee is moving to Oswego, Illinois. Grandpa Lagestee lives is Pennsylvania. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins live all over the place and we don't get to see each other very often so, here they are folks...

MY THREE SONS!


Simon Michael turned 4 on May 17th. Bennett James will be 2 on July 28th. and Talon Jonathan Peter is 6 1/2 weeks old.
